What you will do
- Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including client communication and project budgets.
- Coordinate and participate in field activities such as logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores.
- Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards, distressed structures, and failed slopes.
- Perform foundation design and evaluation, slope stability analysis, and settlement analysis.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in geotechnical consulting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects is preferred.
Nice to have
- M.S. degree in a related field.
