Senior Geotechnical Engineer

What you will do

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including budgets and client communication.
• Coordinate and participate in field activities such as logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores.
• Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards, distressed structures, and failed slopes.
• Perform foundation design and evaluation, slope stability analysis, and settlement analysis.
• Prepare engineering proposals and technical reports.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to engineers, geologists, and field technicians.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical consulting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
• Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects is preferred.

Nice to have

• M.S. in a related field.
• Experience with Austin-area projects and local engineering practices.
