Casualty Specialist III

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and manage general liability, commercial auto, and trucking claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and litigation.
• Review accident reports, witness statements, police reports, medical records, driver qualification files, coverage, liability, damages, and litigation risks.
• Develop strategic action plans and negotiate timely, fair, and cost-effective claim resolutions.
• Coordinate independent adjusters, accident reconstruction experts, vendors, defense counsel, and other claim professionals.
• Prepare coverage position letters, establish appropriate reserves, monitor litigation, and drive favorable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation, claim diaries, compliance records, and reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of general liability, commercial auto, or trucking liability claims experience, including litigated bodily injury claims.
• Experience with transportation, commercial trucking, fleet, or motor carrier claims involving moderate-to-severe injury exposures.
• Ability to evaluate liability, damages, complex coverage scenarios, exposure, and reserves.
• Strong litigation management skills and experience working with defense counsel, experts, and claim professionals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education and experience; ability to obtain and maintain required multi-state adjuster licenses within six months of hire.
