User Experience Analyst

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work may be available after initial in-person training.

What you will do

• Analyze business requirements and user feedback to support user-centered design.
• Consult with business users and IT to create visual design concepts, graphics, and screen mockups.
• Conduct and analyze usability studies, user interviews, and surveys.
• Develop information architecture for web development and user interactions.
• Consult with users, architects, project leaders, and management to resolve problems and suggest alternatives.
• Assist with developing and maintaining corporate web standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX design, UI design, information architecture, graphic design, human-computer interaction, new media, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Strong artistic and visual design skills with a solid understanding of web design.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Understanding of CSS, HTML, XML, JavaScript, image editing and production, interface design, usability testing, and information architecture.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to participate in brainstorming sessions with project teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous web design or user experience design projects. Must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
