Senior Researcher

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan, conduct, analyze, synthesize, and communicate research aligned with team and program goals.
• Contribute to research strategy, prioritize projects, and manage research scope and capacity.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration among researchers, product teams, government stakeholders, and program management.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements, identify delivery risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Coach and mentor researchers and provide actionable feedback for professional growth.
• Present research findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience; relevant experience may substitute for education where permitted.
• Extensive knowledge of research principles and relevant technologies.
• Experience mentoring junior-level team members.
• Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple product teams and navigate complex technical environments.
• Ability to work remotely nationwide within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Figma, Miro, Adobe, or similar design tools.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Domo, or Datadog.
• Experience with QA and validating products during launch.
• Mixed-methods research experience including discovery, evaluative research, interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
• Experience with developer-facing products or APIs, including FHIR-related environments.
