Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Kansas City, MO, USA; preference for candidates near hirify.global office locations and able to work in the office in a hybrid capacity

What you will do

• Lead the electrical discipline for large and complex projects.
• Manage electrical design budgets, schedules, programming, and master planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and other disciplines.
• Oversee the quality of electrical design documents and calculations.
• Support construction activities through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reporting.
• Mentor electrical engineers and designers and deliver internal training on design best practices.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Expertise in electrical system design, including lighting, power, and specialty systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and intermediate knowledge of building codes.
• Experience with field surveys, detailed reporting, cross-discipline coordination, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
