Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC, USA; on-site. Travel to project sites is required.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, security, and associated controls.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop electrical design calculations for innovative, code-compliant solutions.
• Prepare and oversee construction documents and BIM models using Revit.
• Manage project execution from concept through construction, including QA/QC reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and other stakeholders while supporting business development and client relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of design experience as a registered engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license (PE).
• Experience with complex institutional projects.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Strong communication, organizational, planning, prioritization, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• LEED experience; LEED certification is a plus.
