Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Plainfield, Illinois; permanent work location at a regional engineering office, with possible temporary assignments to project sites.

Salary: $125,749–$163,473 annually

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and develop complex electrical systems for assigned project scopes and deliverables.
• Develop conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, voltage-drop calculations, specifications, and electrical one-line diagrams.
• Ensure designs are safe, code-compliant, constructable, and aligned with project and company standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the electrical engineering department.
• Train or supervise less experienced engineers and support the development of new technologies and methods.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and project functions while managing change, cost, schedule, quantities, and budgets.

Requirements

• Accredited BSEE engineering degree.
• 10+ years of detailed electrical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI codes and standards.
• Broad technical knowledge of detailed design engineering processes and current engineering methods.
• Ability to use computer applications and specialized engineering tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
