Senior Engineer - Solar (Geotechnical Engineering)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; remote or office work is available, with up to 10% travel.

Compensation: $93,600–$140,400 per year.

What you will do

• Develop scopes of work and proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects in the solar sector.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and client expectations.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, engineering analyses, professional opinions, and practical solutions.
• Lead technical and project teams, coordinate staff and resources, and manage workloads with regional operations leaders.
• Build client relationships and pursue solar-related business development opportunities.
• Review junior engineers’ work, resolve quality issues, and provide mentoring and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration or license is required; licensure in multiple additional states will be required.
• At least 5 years of solar geotechnical engineering experience.
• Understanding of geology, geologic stability, and performance mechanisms.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, plus a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
