Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager

Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager (Civil Engineering/Project Delivery): Designing and managing civil engineering projects for educational, healthcare, industrial, municipal, sports, and decarbonization facilities with an accent on site planning, grading, stormwater systems, and infrastructure design. Focus on evaluating life-cycle costs, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and delivering accurate designs through construction.

Location: Hybrid in Bloomfield, CT or Newton, MA, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote; other arrangements may be considered. Travel up to 10%.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Provide civil engineering design and consulting services based on client needs, first costs, and life-cycle costs.
• Design and detail new and existing civil systems while coordinating work with technical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop civil design calculations, specifications, project deliverables, and design recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients, facility managers, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams through presentations, meetings, and field visits.
• Participate in site observations and information gathering during design and construction phases.
• Support client relationships, project schedules, quality assurance, and continuing technical development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of civil engineering experience desired.
• Working knowledge of civil analysis and design software, with Civil 3D preferred.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with site planning, grading, volume calculations, stormwater management, and stormwater pollution control systems.
• Experience with thermal piping distribution, pressure and gravity distribution systems, electrical and telecommunications raceway design, roadway and parking design, and specification documents.
