Renewable Development Engineer (63064)

Location: Remote or in-office in Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop preliminary 0–30% designs for PV, BESS, and wind projects throughout the United States.
• Create project constraint files, solar and wind layouts, preliminary cable and DC designs, and civil grading and drainage concepts.
• Perform electrical studies, including load flow, ampacity, losses, and short-circuit analysis, and prepare PVsyst production estimates.
• Prepare high-level bills of materials and support proposal pricing with the Proposal team and subject matter experts.
• Coordinate technical requirements and design activities with internal teams, clients, owners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support to the Business Development and Project Services team while maintaining client and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Civil Engineering; an electric power option is preferred.
• 2–6 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Experience with energy modeling using PVsyst and with AutoCAD; PVCase experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and civil engineering, particularly PV solar systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Project, plus effective written and verbal communication.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• FE or PE licensure.
• PVCase experience.
• Commercial understanding of the engineering or construction industries.
