Senior Commissioning Manager, Portfolio Delivery (Remote)

Location: Fully remote, based in California / the United States; regular travel is required to support project teams, regional alignment, leadership engagement, and portfolio needs.

Compensation: $133,634.00–$173,724.00; pay rate type: hourly.

What you will do

• Lead the Senior Commissioning Project Management team through direction, coaching, training, performance feedback, and workforce development.
• Standardize the commissioning project-management operating model across regions, business units, and project types.
• Maintain portfolio visibility into schedules, milestones, readiness, risks, resource needs, and project performance.
• Ensure projects have integrated commissioning plans, effective coordination cadences, readiness reviews, reporting, turnover, and closeout processes.
• Balance assignments and resource forecasts while escalating issues affecting energization, commissioning, contractual milestones, and customer commitments.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, field testing, safety, quality, SCADA, OT infrastructure, and HV/BESS/PV field-execution leaders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in EPC commissioning, project management, construction management, or utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy project delivery.
• Experience leading employees and managing multi-project or portfolio-level workloads.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and high-voltage commissioning interfaces.
• Experience integrating commissioning activities into schedules, milestones, budgets, and cross-functional delivery plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, P6 scheduling, project controls, reporting dashboards, and document-control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. A valid driver’s license is required.
