Structural Design Manager (Bridges)

Location: Hybrid position based at the Raleigh, North Carolina office

Salary: $170,537.75–$194,900.29 per year

What you will do

• Manage bridge design and bridge rehabilitation projects.
• Lead and mentor structural staff working on transportation projects.
• Provide analysis, design, and inspection for highway, rail, and pedestrian bridges and related structures.
• Act as a project manager or bridge design task lead and coordinate budgets, schedules, and delivery plans.
• Support technical proposals, interviews, business development, and client relationship management.
• Promote project safety and quality while supporting delivery performance and professional standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Project management skills and the ability to plan and coordinate work to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building effective relationships with staff and clients.
• Solid structural analysis and design skills, with knowledge of related engineering disciplines for transportation and infrastructure projects.
