Auto Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: Lima, OH, United States; initial training is in person, followed by a merit-based work-from-home program determined by job responsibilities and leadership.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims under close supervision.
• Handle claims through the full lifecycle, from investigation to resolution.
• Study policies, endorsements, forms, and claim-handling procedures.
• Develop negotiation, settlement, estimating, and loss-adjustment skills.
• Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties.
• Obtain and maintain adjuster licenses when required by law or company policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and correspondence.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, make independent decisions, and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security and work effectively with diverse individuals.
• Ability to accurately handle geometry, mathematical, and financial calculations and interpret personal and business finance documents.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive an automobile, and a driving record meeting underwriting guidelines. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
