What you will do

• Develop highway geometrics, 3D models, drainage and stormwater management designs, signing and striping, erosion and sediment control, and utility coordination.
• Deliver transportation designs from planning and schematic development through PS&E design and construction.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure plans meet applicable standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Guide and oversee junior- and mid-level engineering staff while collaborating with EITs and professional engineers.
• Prepare plan quantities, engineering estimates, and construction specifications, and provide construction support.
• Track project progress, budgets, and schedules while supporting client meetings, proposals, and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of related roadway engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Tennessee or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Experience designing highways, intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities.
• Experience or familiarity with OpenRoads Design and/or Geopak.
• Strong interpersonal and client collaboration skills.

• TDOT design experience.
