Field Service Technician I - ORF

Location: Norfolk, Virginia, USA; daily travel to customer locations in and around the Norfolk area

Salary: $58,800–$87,560 per year, plus a Business Profit Plan and benefits

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain field equipment, including Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Respond to daily service needs, provide technical support and customer training, and drive customer satisfaction.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, open issues, and customer reports.
• Order, install, return, and manage repair parts while controlling cycle time and costs.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment; assess equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Participate in site surveys, pilot service activities, meetings, and service sales opportunities as required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, related trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical disciplines; 1–3 years of related work experience may be accepted.
• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems or equipment in the field.
• Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn specialized software.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel at short notice.
• Ability to pass TSA vetting and a federal background investigation; Sensitive Security Information access and a U.S. personal security clearance may be required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs, push or pull up to 200 lbs, and move equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance.
