Field Service Technician I - Plainview, NY (Medical Devices)

Location: Plainview, New York, United States; onsite field service in hospitals, service centers, depots, and customer accounts

Salary: $51,200–$70,400 per year

What you will do

• Prepare rental and customer-owned medical products for patient use through cleaning, disinfection, operational checks, and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and malfunctioning components.
• Perform deliveries, removals, and service activities for products at service centers and customer accounts.
• Provide on-call coverage up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays, with customer account visits as needed.
• Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds.
• Safely operate company vehicles ranging from cargo vans to box trucks up to 26,000 pounds and complete service-contract activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Technical or trade school training.
• DOT physical card; assistance is provided.
• Experience with FDA-regulated products.
• Customer service experience.
