Assistant Professor Nursing- Full Time

Location: Reno, Nevada, USA; campus-based position

Salary: $90,000–$93,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Provide instruction and evaluate student learning in nursing classes, laboratories, clinicals, and simulated clinical experiences.
• Supervise, debrief, and provide immediate feedback on student clinical performance.
• Plan and coordinate clinical assignments with healthcare facilities while ensuring student and facility needs are met.
• Maintain attendance records, grades, student files, skills check-off forms, and program reports in accordance with established requirements.
• Collaborate with instructors on examinations, final evaluations, instructional initiatives, and program assessment.
• Advise students, participate in faculty and committee activities, and support faculty orientation and development.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered licensure.
• Master of Science in Nursing degree.
• Ability to meet the faculty requirements of the Board of Registered Nursing in the state of employment.
• Current knowledge of nursing practice, student mentoring ability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Documented knowledge of educational methodology, nursing subject matter, clinical practice, or distance education techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
