Assurance Manager - Life Sciences

Location: Raleigh, United States; willingness to travel 25% of the year depending on client needs.

Salary: $89,800–$170,500 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures, and related client deliverables.
• Participate in public market transactions, including Forms S-1, S-3, and F-4.
• Assess engagement risk and design, communicate, and monitor audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise audit seniors and supervisors, and review work products.
• Identify technical accounting matters, evaluate their impact on financial statements, and coordinate with firm specialists.
• Maintain client relationships, manage project profitability, support business development, and develop staff through coaching and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA certification.
• At least 5 years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates, with knowledge of GAAP, GAS, and FASB regulations.
• Proven ability to build profitable, sustainable client relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience auditing life sciences companies and related organizations.
• Experience directing and deploying staff and senior associates across multiple simultaneous engagements.
• Knowledge of SEC and PCAOB regulations.
