Behavioral Health Case Manager II (Bilingual Spanish Preferred)

Location: Virtual full-time from within a reasonable commuting distance of Costa Mesa, California; required in-person training may apply. Schedule: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST.

Salary: $79,948–$99,935 annually for positions in California.

What you will do

• Perform telephonic case management and home visits within the scope of licensure.
• Handle complex cases and account-specific requests involving behavioral health and substance use needs.
• Assess member needs using screening criteria and clinical judgment.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized care plans and treatment objectives.
• Coordinate quality and cost-effective care with internal resources, external providers, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a resource to other behavioral health case managers and participate in cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a nursing degree, with at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broad experience with complex psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment.
• Current active, unrestricted U.S. professional license, such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or Clinical Psychologist, as permitted by applicable state law.
• Experience in case management and telephonic or in-person coaching for members with complex psychiatric, substance use, or medical disorders.
• Managed care experience is required.
• Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location is required unless a legal accommodation applies.

Nice to have

• Experience with health coaching and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
