After School Program Instructor (Part Time) - K-8 - Elementary/Middle School (26-27 SY)

Location: On site at a Stockton, California school location. Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, around 2:00pm-6:00pm, throughout the school year.

Hourly rate: $20.00-$23.00, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Provide homework assistance, academic support, fitness and recreation, arts, and enrichment activities for K-8 students.
• Plan and supervise activities based on students' developmental needs.
• Use positive behavior support and classroom management techniques.
• Document schedules, lesson plans, curriculum, participation, and outcomes.
• Track daily student attendance and assist with program registration, customer service, and community outreach.
• Maintain health and safety standards, prepare and clean facilities, and communicate with families, school staff, and community partners.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in youth development, activity planning, and supervision, or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AA or BA degree with at least 48 units, or a passing ETS ParaPro Assessment score of 460, or passing CBEST exams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds, including discipline situations.
• Experience working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
• Proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications, including Google Classroom, Hangouts, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
