What you will do
- Teach lecture content, laboratory sessions, and clinical rotations for the LVN program.
- Deliver instruction during evenings and weekends, with clinical rotations scheduled during weekdays and/or weekends as needed.
- Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
- Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
- Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical compliance records.
- Submit program reports, participate in professional development and assigned committees, and maintain current licensure and continuing education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state where teaching is performed.
- At least 3 years of recent bedside experience with a BSN, or at least 6 years of recent bedside experience with an LVN degree.
- Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
- Current nursing practice knowledge, clinical experience, and the ability to mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, independence, and the ability to manage day-to-day nursing laboratory operations.
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
