HVAC Service Apprentice

Location: Blountville, TN (CSUSA-SHO); full-time, on-site field service work in a specified territory.

What you will do

• Assist with HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs in commercial and industrial settings.
• Work with split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic controls, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Help diagnose breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble components, and complete repairs.
• Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to maintain medium to large, complex heating and cooling systems.
• Complete daily electronic documentation on a handheld device and work independently or as part of a team.
• Operate a company vehicle for service calls and complete assigned tasks within allotted time frames.

Requirements

• Prior completion of an HVAC trade school program.
• Maintenance or electrical knowledge is preferred.
• Must maintain a drug-free workplace and be punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, lift and carry up to 60 lbs, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to reach above the shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend.
