TL;DR
Service & Warranty Technician III (HVAC): Providing advanced installation, commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair for commercial HVAC equipment at customer sites with an accent on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls systems. Focus on resolving complex field issues, analyzing root causes, mentoring technicians, and supporting product reliability and warranty investigations.

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; primarily at customer sites, commercial facilities, industrial operations, and construction locations. Frequent overnight travel is required.

Pay range: $30.61–$45.91 per hour.

What you will do

  • Install, start up, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, controls, and building automation issues with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluate system performance, recommend corrective actions, and analyze recurring service issues to identify root causes.
  • Serve as a technical resource for field service and internal support teams, including mentoring Technician I and II staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, product support, and warranty teams on field concerns, product validation, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain service documentation, support customer training, and represent the company during escalations and high-priority service events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience in HVAC service, field service, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, controls, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple service priorities, travel to customer locations, and work at heights, in confined spaces, and around energized or moving equipment.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and comply with safety protocols in a safety-sensitive position.

Nice to have

  • Associate, technical, or vocational training in HVAC, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related discipline.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Industry certifications in HVAC, controls, refrigeration, or building automation systems.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, controls, and building automation systems.
