Senior Sourcing Manager (Biotech)

Location: Alameda, California, United States; primarily working indoors in an office environment

Salary: $157,500–$223,500 annually, depending on geographic market, experience, skills, and internal equity.

hirify.global is a biotechnology and pharmaceutical company whose Strategic Sourcing and Procurement department manages strategic procurement and outsourcing.

What you will do

• Partner with Category Leads and business stakeholders to identify sourcing and outsourcing opportunities across G&A, IT, and Commercial categories.
• Lead high-impact sourcing initiatives, market analysis, negotiations, statements of work, and contract execution.
• Manage supplier performance, segmentation, governance, collaboration plans, and cost-to-deliverables alignment.
• Collaborate with Procurement Analytics and FP&A on spend management, forecasting, budgeting, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Identify enterprise-level supply-chain risks and develop supplier diversification and business continuity plans.
• Coach junior team members and lead SS&P or cross-functional continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry, including R&D outsourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management, or procurement.
• Master’s degree with 7 years of related experience, bachelor’s degree with 9 years, associate degree with 11 years, or an equivalent combination.
• Advanced understanding of drug discovery and development, procurement functions, financial regulations, category-specific compliance, and legal terms.
• Advanced knowledge of RFI/RFP methodologies, contracting standards, scopes of work, budgets, quality agreements, and data privacy addendums, with demonstrated contract negotiation success.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, financial reporting, invoicing, payment terms, taxes, currency exchange rates, and related operational processes.
• Advanced MS Office, analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, customer-service, and stakeholder partnership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ariba, Agiloft, SAP, Tableau, or equivalent applications.
• Experience with Jira Service Management or a similar contract lifecycle management system.
