Complex Motor Claims Handler

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of complex credit hire motor claims and third-party property damage claims.
• Handle claim enquiries, determine coverage, assess quantum and legal liability, and resolve claims accurately and promptly.
• Manage vendors and litigation associated with allocated motor claims.
• Communicate with customers, brokers, insureds, panel lawyers, external providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and review suspected or fraudulent claims in line with internal requirements.
• Support team performance, customer-focused service, best practices, and Treating Customers Fairly principles.

Requirements

• Proven experience handling credit hire claims.
• Good understanding of end-to-end motor claims procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders.
• Detailed knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment for credit hire motor claims.
• Ability to make decisions on legal liability, damage assessment, investigation, and rehabilitation needs.
• Strong policy wording and interpretation skills, with the ability to manage an allocated caseload proactively.
