Senior Claims Underwriter (Energy)

What you will do

• Independently manage a portfolio of Power and Renewables and Upstream Energy claims.
• Provide technical referrals and mentoring support to more junior colleagues.
• Assist the Claims Manager with technical reporting, stakeholder liaison, and the claims service proposition.
• Participate in quarterly account reviews and the reserving process.
• Collaborate with underwriters and claims colleagues to add value, build the brand, and win and retain business.
• Attend settlement meetings, client meetings, conferences, and other travel-related engagements.

Requirements

• Significant experience handling Energy claims, ideally seven or more years within the London Market.
• Experience at an insurer, loss adjusting firm, or broking house.
• An established reputation and relationships in the energy insurance industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication, people, analytical, mathematical, and report-writing skills.
• Pragmatic, commercial, solution-oriented approach with confidence in independent decision-making.
• Willingness to travel.
