What you will do

• Teach GED preparation, TABE reading and math preparation, and high school diploma classes.
• Provide instruction in social skills, employability skills, applied academics, and project-based learning.
• Plan relevant lessons, engage trainees, manage classroom discipline, and deliver student accommodations.
• Monitor reading gains and TABE achievements, evaluate student progress, and maintain case notes in CIS.
• Record attendance, complete weekly reports, and participate in departmental, center, and staff meetings.
• Support student retention, workplace behavior development, customer service, safety drills, and communication with center departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Teaching certification in Wyoming; certification may be waived if the center cannot hire certified teachers, but certification must then be pursued.
• Ability to read and interpret professional, technical, and government materials and prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from students, colleagues, managers, and the public.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
