What you will do

• Deliver innovative, engaging, competency-based welding instruction and maintain relevant lesson plans.
• Manage classroom activities, discipline, attendance records, and a clean and safe learning environment.
• Evaluate and record student progress, case notes, training achievements, and electronic Training Achievement Records.
• Support students in obtaining primary and secondary credentials and improve student retention.
• Align curriculum with industry standards and coordinate integrated learning opportunities with academic departments.
• Develop industry partnerships supporting work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes.

Requirements

• At least two years of related experience.
• Minimum associate degree; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of vocational trade instruction, classroom management, student evaluation, and workplace safety.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Welding certification, licensing, or accreditation in the state where the center is located, or certification from a professional, union, or national trade organization.
• A valid state driver's license is recommended; instructors may need to pursue certification if not already certified.
