Nursing Instructor (Vocational Nursing)

Location: Campus-based in San Jose, California, USA; full-time day shift Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Clinical rotations may take place on weekdays or weekends and during daytime or evening hours.

Salary: USD 98,000–104,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Teach lecture content, laboratory activities, and clinical rotations in the Vocational Nursing program.
• Mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings while supporting their nursing practice development.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, clinical requirements, and immunization records.
• Submit program reports, participate in assigned committees, and maintain professional development and continuing education requirements.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state where teaching takes place.
• Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• At least 3 years of bedside experience and current knowledge of nursing practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, independent working ability, and current clinical experience.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
• Availability for full-time, on-campus day work Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with clinical rotations that may include evenings or weekends.
