Salary: $80,000–$96,736.53 per year

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings, including flexible evening and weekend classes.
• Develop and implement curriculum, course materials, technology-enabled instruction, and evidence-based learning experiences.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and deliver remediation when needed.
• Lead or support clinical, laboratory, and simulation learning to connect theory with safe, ethical, and professional practice.
• Mentor students and new faculty while contributing to committees, graduation activities, program evaluation, service, and scholarship.
• Maintain teaching, subject-matter, regulatory, and practice credentials through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required; a PhD in an appropriate field is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered Texas professional nurse licensure, or eligibility to obtain it.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience and sufficient preparation to teach assigned courses.
• Strong communication, initiative, judgment, conflict management, collaboration, and emotional and social intelligence.
• Experience with learning management systems, simulation equipment, online platforms, and increasing use of AI in teaching.
• Maintain all credentials and comply with applicable state authorization, licensing, and clinical faculty requirements.
