Underground Mining Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise all underground mining activities and ensure development and production work follows published schedules.
• Coordinate with production engineers to ensure resources and equipment are available to meet mining plans.
• Use the SIMBIO data system to create a productive 24-hour rolling plan.
• Review underground mining methods and implement operational improvements.
• Lead and develop mining personnel in line with company values.
• Document incidents in INX, investigate non-compliances, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Unrestricted New Zealand work rights or a current New Zealand working visa are required.
• B-grade Tunnel Manager’s Certificate of Competence, or the ability to acquire it within an agreed timeframe.
• Controlled Substance Licence suitable for operation at Macraes Underground Mine.
• Full and current driver licence; ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
• At least five years of underground metalliferous mining experience, including development and production techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of underground mining practices and techniques; previous supervisory experience is preferred but not essential.
