Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Avondale, New Zealand; onsite, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm

Pact Packaging’s Steel Division manufactures steel drums for the New Zealand dairy and food ingredients markets.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop production team members to build a safe and high-performing workplace.
• Coordinate daily production activities and achieve operational, quality, service, and efficiency targets.
• Drive health, safety, environmental, and quality practices across the manufacturing operation.
• Monitor production performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity and reliability.
• Support workforce planning, labour utilisation, inventory control, and resource allocation.
• Provide operational leadership support and maintain continuity when required.

Requirements

• Leadership experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, or a similar operational environment.
• Experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams to achieve performance outcomes.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of health and safety, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
• Strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and a hands-on approach.
