What you will do

• Lead the design and analysis of complex underground structures, including tunnels, caverns, and underground transit systems.
• Develop project budgets and schedules and coordinate with engineers, architects, construction professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
• Direct site investigations and surveys covering soil conditions, rock formations, and other design factors.
• Develop and review construction plans, drawings, specifications, reports, and project documentation.
• Perform advanced structural calculations, load and stability analyses, QA/QC reviews, and construction compliance monitoring.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior and mid-level engineers and technicians while resolving construction-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred.
• PE license required.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering experience focused on underground structures and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, analytical problem-solving, communication, and team leadership.
• Advanced experience with engineering software such as SAP2000, ETABS, GT STRUDEL, LARSA, CSiBridge, RISA, MIDAS, and MATHCAD.
• Familiarity with FHWA, AREMA, ACI 318, AISC, and ASCE 7 codes and standards, plus project budget, schedule, and resource management.
