Industrial Safety Consultant (Environmental Management)

Location: Richland, Washington, United States; predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with limited remote support only as approved.

What you will do

• Conduct hazard assessments, industrial hygiene surveys, and exposure analyses.
• Evaluate and verify the implementation of workplace safety and health programs.
• Support compliance with 10 CFR 851 and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead industrial hygiene sampling during outages.
• Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and provide safety, environment, and quality support to Hanford Field Office programs.
• Collaborate across industrial hygiene, occupational safety, training, environmental, nuclear safety, engineering, quality assurance, and fire protection functions.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of industrial hygiene or safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or safety.
• HAZWOPER qualification.
• Experience supporting Environmental Management sector programs is preferred for the engagement.
• Ability to demonstrate observation, coaching, and vigilance.
• Field presence is required, with work conducted predominantly on-site in Richland, Washington.

Nice to have

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
• Experience in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.
