Field Service Engineer (Genomics)

Location: France; remote/field based with up to 80% travel across Paris and East France

Salary: €33,100–€49,700 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus, commission, and equity programs.

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain sequencing and genomics instruments at customer laboratories.
• Provide on-site technical assistance to customers, Field Applications teams, Territory Account Managers, and internal support teams.
• Use service manuals, training materials, service bulletins, SOPs, and remote connectivity tools to resolve instrument issues.
• Coordinate and prioritize service requests, determine intervention methods, and maintain service-parts inventory to support first-time fixes.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing on system placements, upgrades, leads, and contract renewals.
• Build strong customer relationships and represent hirify.global professionally and ethically.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering field, or hands-on engineering experience in industry.
• Experience with complex machinery, including optical alignment, robotics, electrical/electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, computer, customer-service, and laboratory-safety skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Fluency in both French and English is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across Paris and East France is required.

• Experience working with complex machinery in the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with genomics, sequencing applications, bioinformatics, hirify.global technologies, or laboratory environments.
