Engineer 1 - Field Service (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Grenoble, France; on-site customer service work with occasional travel to factories, training facilities, and customer locations

What you will do

• Install, service, modify, upgrade, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and respond to emergency service calls.
• Order and install replacement parts while maintaining equipment records and service reports.
• Coordinate with peers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions.
• Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain the security and upkeep of company vehicles, tools, and other property while following customer-site conduct standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or an associate's degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Military technical training and field experience may substitute for an associate's degree; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined areas, clean rooms, awkward positions, and elevated locations, with possible bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing.
• Ability to follow safety procedures when working with chemicals, electrical currents, high voltage, radiation, and moving mechanical parts.
