Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; full-time on-site role

What you will do

  • Authorize railcar releases according to company guidelines and monitor approved quantities to prevent over-shipments.
  • Verify product contents, destinations, and routing instructions; divert railcars and create new routing instructions when required.
  • Track monthly purchase orders and maintain operational records and files.
  • Monitor railcar flows to reduce asset usage charges and improve cycle times.
  • Prepare daily reports on empty railcars available for ordering or return within the assigned territory.
  • Provide operational support to internal customers and coordinate with yard staff to meet shipping deadlines.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in rail operations logistics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, planning, coordination, monitoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business Administration, Transportation, or Logistics, is an asset.
