Supervisor Group Lead (Environment Testing)

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed.

Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.

What you will do

• Supervise analysts and coordinate laboratory workload, schedules, priorities, and project delivery.
• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using required methods and laboratory instruments.
• Review and validate analytical data, authorize data release, and prepare reports and data packages.
• Train analysts, maintain training documentation, and support performance development.
• Create and update SOPs, monitor sample hold times, and ensure QC and accreditation requirements are met.
• Track productivity, support safety inspections, resolve operational issues, and contribute to process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry or a related field, or six years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least four years of laboratory experience, including a minimum of one year leading routine and complex laboratory procedures and instruments.
• Previous GC experience, ideally GC-ECD or GC-FID.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, critical-thinking, prioritization, and data-analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Experience with environmental testing.
• Advanced knowledge of the department’s operations, standards, technical competencies, and procedures.
