TL;DR
Scientific Group Leader (Life Sciences): Leading laboratory operations and direct reports in a cGMP environment with an accent on quality systems, analytical decision-making, and staff development. Location: Lancaster, PA, USA; candidates must be within a commutable distance. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.

What you will do
- Lead laboratory workflow and daily monitoring to meet customer service needs and KPIs.
- Ensure quality, safety, data integrity, and compliance with applicable employment regulations.
- Coach, train, develop, and assess direct reports, including conducting performance reviews and interviewing applicants.
- Lead technical investigations through technical writing, root cause analysis, CAPA, and impact assessment.
- Review operational costs, time records, training records, quotes, and pricing accuracy as required.
- Evaluate processes and lead LEAN initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a cGMP environment.
- Indefinite, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Commutable distance from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- Understanding of instrumental and analytical theory for the technical disciplines overseen.
