Laboratory Analyst (Environmental Testing)

Location: Tinley Park, Illinois, USA; on-site full-time position

Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and EPA methodology.
• Perform chemical analysis, calculate results, and record and report data and unusual test occurrences.
• Develop competency with complex instrumentation, including gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, sample aliquoting and weighing, glassware washing, and laboratory housekeeping.
• Apply GMP, GLP, EHS, quality assurance, and SOP requirements while working safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.
• Laboratory experience of 1–2 years is preferred, but training is available for a suitable candidate.
• Ability to use mathematical formulas and a calculator, follow written or verbal instructions, and meet time and quality constraints.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively in oral and written communication.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.

Nice to have

• Previous production-oriented work and experience meeting deadlines.
• Experience with organic preparation, metals preparation and analysis, or high- and low-resolution preparation and analysis.
