Chemist I - GC VOA (Sa - W shift) Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest - Calscience, Tustin, CA (GC)

Location: Tustin, California, United States; onsite laboratory work. Saturday–Wednesday shift, 7:00am–4:00pm, with overtime as needed.

Salary: $18–$22 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a 10% shift differential for the Saturday–Wednesday shift.

What you will do

• Prepare water and soil samples for analysis using Purge and Trap Gas Chromatography.
• Evaluate chromatographic data against qualitative and quantitative criteria.
• Manage analytical backlog and deadlines for client programs.
• Upload and peer review data in the laboratory information management system.
• Maintain and repair instruments, including column replacement and ion source cleaning.
• Prepare standards and reagents, maintain calibrations, and follow laboratory safety and QA/QC procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience operating a GC in an academic or production laboratory.
• BS or BA in chemistry or a related field; three years of laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and formulas, manage time, multitask, and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

• Previous production-oriented laboratory experience and the ability to work efficiently toward deadlines.
