Commercial Building Technician Senior

Location: Hicksville, NY 11801, United States; travel to corporate offices and branch locations in the assigned footprint is required.

Salary: $18.43–$35.45 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine site inspections and address safety concerns across facilities, sidewalks, parking lots, and grounds.
• Maintain and repair buildings and equipment, including plumbing, electrical systems, painting, plastering, machinery, and other facility systems.
• Remove obstructions and debris, perform exterior cleaning, and help maintain safe and functional facilities.
• Inspect and inventory equipment, requisition supplies, schedule special assignments, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Train, assign tasks to, and guide lower-level General Maintenance Technicians.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and participate in required training and compliance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, HiSET, TASC, or foreign equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience conducting building repair and maintenance work.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC, along with strong mechanical skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to operate a company-owned vehicle.
• Ability to read blueprints, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and operate seasonal equipment.
• Ability to work on-call and maintain a flexible schedule as needed.

• Facilities maintenance experience in a senior or lead-level capacity.
