Phone Shop Manager (Retail)

Location: Highams Park & Lea Valley, United Kingdom. Permanent role, 36 working hours per week; full- and part-time arrangements are considered.

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and coach the Phone Shop team to provide expert sales advice and recommend suitable products and deals.
• Listen to customer feedback, follow up on complaints, and improve the shopping experience.
• Maintain product availability, presentation, shelf standards, and correct handling and storage routines.
• Coordinate with Stock and Admin and management teams to complete weekly RFID counts and operational routines.
• Control departmental costs, deliver budgets, minimize waste, and implement range and merchandising activities.
• Support local community strategies and encourage the team to contribute to community initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to train and coach team members to approach customers confidently and sell suitable products at the right price.
• Strong people interaction, customer focus, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the team, Area Manager, and wider management team.
• Commitment to respectful, caring leadership and celebrating team achievements.
• Applicants must have passed the applicable school-leaving age; candidates must be over 18 for specified late-night or restricted-area work.
