Senior Buyer (Ecommerce Fashion)

Location: hirify.global HQ in London; a shuttlebus service is available for employees based in the Leavesden office.

What you will do

• Develop cohesive, commercially viable product ranges aligned with brand and divisional strategy.
• Work with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Garment Technology, and Sourcing to shape product direction and build a reliable supply base.
• Deliver department KPIs, margin, and profit targets by analyzing sales, trend, competitor, and market data.
• Trade ranges throughout the season by identifying gaps, managing risk, and adapting to commercial opportunities and global requirements.
• Build supplier and internal stakeholder relationships, drive cost-saving initiatives, and support promotional and marketing opportunities.
• Lead and develop Assistant Buyers and Buyers' Administrators through clear direction, feedback, training, and inclusive leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Junior Buyer or Buyer in a fast-paced, rapidly changing global retailer.
• Proven ability to drive department performance through creative and commercial thinking.
• Strong awareness of fashion trends, retail market conditions, competitor activity, and global product and pricing strategies.
• Highly developed negotiation, influencing, prioritization, systems, and stakeholder management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of planning and trading documents and relevant trading systems, along with proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective and inclusive leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and develop team talent.

Nice to have

• Experience developing a branded portfolio, mapping brand churn, and sourcing contemporary brand mixes through global markets, fashion shows, Instagram, and street trends.
