eBilling Analyst (Legal Billing)

Location: Remote within the United States; Monday–Friday, 8am to 5pm EST

Salary: $18.99–$26.59 per hour, plus potential overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.

What you will do

• Submit electronic invoices and monthly accruals through multiple e-billing platforms.
• Support client transitions to e-billing and resolve submission issues, rejected invoices, and resubmissions.
• Handle high-volume, complex e-submission assignments while following client, firm, and internal billing guidelines.
• Act as a subject-matter liaison between billing attorneys, secretarial staff, client representatives, and e-billing managers.
• Maintain client data, matter profiles, budgets, user accounts, security levels, and related information across billing systems and client web applications.
• Analyze complex client accounts involving collections, rates, reduced invoices, and rejected invoices.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of e-billing experience in a corporate law department or law firm.
• Proven experience with BillBlast.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to create, edit, and present complex data analyses and ad hoc reports.
• Strong reading comprehension, analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work professionally under tight deadlines and influence stakeholders at senior and executive levels.

Nice to have

• Associate or advanced degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Knowledge of legal billing and middleware systems such as Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Legal-X, or Serengeti/Legal Tracker.
• Knowledge of Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) billing formats.
