Transformer Winding Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Dynapower, South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite manufacturing production environment

Salary: $20–$30 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare winding forms and gather insulation, copper tubing, strapping, and other materials.
• Set up winding and tensioning equipment.
• Wind up to six conductors onto winding molds or blocks according to engineering prints.
• Install insulating materials and perform quality checks before products move to the next production area.
• Follow required safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Hands-on experience with transformer winding is strongly preferred.
• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to gas, braze, and solder copper is preferred; certification may be required where applicable.
• Eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR is required; non-US persons may not be eligible.
