RF Electro-Mechanical Technician

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Lead a small technician team and translate engineering priorities into daily manufacturing and assembly activities.
• Assemble complex RF transmitter components using hand and power tools.
• Build instrumentation and controls cabinets and integrate sensors with mechanical systems.
• Work safely with electrical systems up to 480V and use RF and electrical test equipment to validate builds.
• Perform precision plumbing, wiring, and soldering while supporting commissioning and troubleshooting of I&C equipment.
• Report progress to the supervisor and uphold safety and quality standards during testing and fabrication.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or higher; two-year technical school or military technical training is welcomed.
• At least five years of experience with hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, and mechanical/electrical assembly.
• Hands-on experience with high voltage up to 480V and RF/electrical measurement equipment.
• Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and basic computer proficiency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and take direction.
• Ability to work on-site in a facility with industrial hazards and occasionally work nights, weekends, on-call shifts, or travel.

Nice to have

• Experience soldering RF components on circuit boards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
