Sheet Metal Journeyman (Commercial HVAC)

Location: Knoxville, TN, with local commercial projects in the Knoxville area. Day shift with overtime as required.

What you will do

• Install commercial ductwork across a variety of project settings.
• Read blueprints and drawings, and complete accurate layouts.
• Finish and seal ductwork to meet testing requirements.
• Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale ductwork and assist with HVAC equipment installation.
• Work safely from ladders, lifts, and roofs, including in confined spaces and challenging weather conditions.
• Help train apprentices and collaborate with foremen and crew members.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial sheet metal installation experience.
• Journeyman-level training or documented field experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, punctuality, and reliability.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather, and to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to perform standing, walking, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, and overhead work throughout the workday.
