Sheet Metal Journeyman (HVAC)

Location: Arden, NC, United States; onsite, full-time work

Established mechanical contractor providing HVACR, electrical, and plumbing services for commercial construction projects.

What you will do

• Lay out and install commercial ductwork in new and existing construction settings.
• Interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Unload, move, handle, finish, and seal commercial-scale ductwork for testing.
• Assist with commercial HVAC equipment installation.
• Work safely from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in confined spaces.
• Help train apprentices with minimal direct supervision.

Requirements

• 4+ years of sheet metal installation experience.
• Journeyman qualification supported by required schooling and documented hours worked.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday and lift or carry up to 60 lbs.
• Reliability, teamwork, good vision, motor control, and strong hand-eye coordination.
